Data centres
We connect data centres to the electricity network and work closely with providers in the data industry to provide resilience and improve sustainability.
As the UK’s data centre market continues to grow and mature, the challenge to meet the significant power demands and maintain resilience, while meeting sustainability pressures is a challenge for the industry.
Data centre components require significant infrastructure to support the centre's hardware and software. These include power subsystems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), ventilation, cooling systems, fire suppression, backup generators, and connections to external networks. Simply, it houses computers to process data at industrial scale.
To facilitate the huge power demands of a data centre, we work with clients to identify where on the local distribution or transmission network they can obtain their electricity supply. We design, build and commission data centre supplies up to, and including, 132kv.

Established provider
As an established Independent Connections Provider (ICP), we support our clients to ensure their new connection requirements are safely delivered to the highest standard, on time, in the most cost effective and innovative way. We work closely with providers in the data centre industry while identifying the optimum solution to provide resilience and improve sustainability.
Our extensive in-house capability, including designers, planners, authorised engineers and project managers are experienced in designing and building complex and essential electricity distribution networks.
