Supporting Bristol Airport's journey to a Net Zero future

Bristol Airport

7 October 2020: We’re excited to announce that we will be working with Bristol Airport to help them on their journey to be carbon-neutral by 2025 and Net Zero by 2050.

In order for the airport to consider the integration of sustainable energy solutions into their electricity distribution network, we’re undertaking detailed modelling and analysis to enable a better understanding of the network as the airport grows.

This project will enable Bristol Airport to take advantage of carbon-neutral energy technologies like electric vehicles and renewable generation in the future to grow the airport in a sustainable way.

Airfield

Bristol Airport's journey to Net Zero will include increasing the number of electric vehicle charging points, introducing electric buses and other ground fleet, generating 25% of their energy from renewable sources and deploy fixed electrical ground power for aircraft.

We are looking forward to working with Bristol Airport in the years ahead supporting their sustainability ambitions.
